I. Federal Legislation
A. HR 5300 Criminal History corrections – nothing so far.
NCISS opposes.
B. S-3366/HR 5321 – Ban weapons in airports – no action so far.
C. HR 6122 - Bill to use federal employees in federal buildings introduced.
II. State Legislation
AL – Rules just issued implementing private security
legislation.
CA AB 569 – Meal & rest period relief for those with collective bargaining
agreements -- Passed.
CA SB-908 - Armored meal exception died.
CA AB 2128 - Patrol Companies must carry $1 million insurance.
HI SB 2165 - Guard Training – Regulator meeting with industry on rules
IL HB 4658 - Credit history. But includes many exceptions.
MA S 2583 - Criminal history restrictions on first application.
Limits felonies to 10 years.
PA HB 65 - A major statewide Security Services and PI bill.
TX – Rules just issued on continuing education.
