Brian J. Carroll is the President of Performance Improvement Consulting, Inc. (PIC), a management consulting and education firm located in Chicago, Illinois. He has over 35 years of experience in Manufacturing Management, Management Consulting, and as a Lean Education provider.

His resume includes positions in Operations, Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Production & Inventory Control, Project Management, Materials Management, and General Management in the automotive, integrated circuit, and metal fabrication industries.

He has conducted over 50 engagements in Manufacturing Management and Information Technology, for domestic and international clients. He was a team member, project manager, or consulting project director on over 25 successful MRP / ERP projects, many in lean environments.

Brian has consulted in industries including healthcare equipment, flexible automation, packaging machinery, and fluid hydraulic pumps. He has also consulted for manufacturers of automotive products, including motors and fans, fuel control systems, electronic control units, fuel pumps, anti-lock braking systems, radios and CD players, plastic injected molding, alternators, starters, generators and engine management systems.

He is the author of “Lean Performance ERP Project Management: Implementing The Virtual Lean Enterprise”, available on Productivity Press (www.productivitypress.com) as well as Amazon and other book sites.

Now focusing on Education, he is the Lead Instructor in the Lean Performance Certificate series sponsored by the Center For Supply Chain Management And Logistics at The University of Illinois At Chicago (UIC).
